Masslooking in Telegram: how stories bring subscribers
Masslooking means viewing your target audience's stories at scale from your own accounts. The technique comes from Instagram and works in Telegram for the same reason: people are curious who watches their stories.
Why it works
When an account views a story, the owner sees it in the viewer list. An unfamiliar name and avatar spark curiosity, and some people open the profile. The profile has a bio and a link to your channel, bot or product. That's a visit you didn't pay for.
Reacting to a story (with a like, for example) is more noticeable than a plain view and brings more visits, but it also looks more active — use it in moderation.
What you need to start
- An audience. A list of people interested in your topic. The best source is members of topical chats: they've already shown interest in the niche. You can collect them with User parser.
- An activity filter. Not everyone posts stories. It makes sense to target people who were online recently — they're more likely to have stories and check who viewed them.
- Accounts with a good profile. The name, avatar and a bio with a link decide whether someone goes further. The profile is your storefront.
- Warm-up. A fresh account viewing thousands of stories right away looks like a bot. Warm up first.
How to set the pace
- Pauses between views. A few seconds, with random variation.
- A daily limit per account. More accounts with a moderate load beat one account viewing everything.
- Breaks. A real person doesn't watch stories around the clock.
- Don't view the same people daily. Repeat views bring fewer visits and more suspicion.
Masstagging — the next step
Masstagging means posting your own story that tags people from your target audience. Everyone tagged gets a notification and sees your account. It's more noticeable than a view, but in Telegram only Premium accounts can tag people in stories, and posting limits are stricter. Add masstagging once masslooking is already set up.
How to measure results
Look at visits, not the number of stories viewed:
- how many people visited the profile and the channel;
- how many subscribed;
- how many wrote to your DMs.
Lots of views but few visits means the profile is the problem: the name, avatar or bio doesn't hook. Visits but no subscriptions means the channel is the problem.
Masslooking in Braidix
Masslooking in Braidix views and likes stories from a parser list, targets only active users, respects pauses and daily limits, and spreads the load across accounts. The same section has a masstagging mode for Premium accounts: AI generates captions and an image for the story, and tags are placed automatically.
Masslooking pairs well with commenting: some people see you in the comments, others in the viewer list. How to combine these sources into one funnel is covered in "How to grow a Telegram channel without buying ads".
