How to warm up a Telegram account and avoid bans
Warm-up is the period when an account behaves like an ordinary person before it starts mass commenting, broadcasting or viewing stories. Telegram evaluates account behaviour, and a fresh account doing hundreds of identical actions from day one quickly gets restricted: a spam block, a FloodWait or a freeze.
Why accounts get banned without warm-up
A real user has a history: they read channels, chat with friends, react to posts, change their avatar. An account created yesterday has no history. If it immediately starts messaging strangers en masse, its behaviour looks like spam and it's easier to report.
Warm-up doesn't grant immunity, but it noticeably lowers the risk: an account with a history and a normal pace lives longer.
Step 1. Proxies
- One account, one proxy. An account that connects from one country, then another, looks suspicious.
- Stability. A proxy that keeps dropping also hurts: frequent reconnects look odd.
- Country. Ideally, the proxy's country matches the phone number's country.
You can check whether a proxy works with Telegram and see its latency with our free proxy checker.
Step 2. Profile
Fill in the profile right away: first name, last name, avatar, bio. An empty profile without a photo looks like a throwaway account. Later the profile becomes your storefront, with a link to your channel or bot — but it's better not to add the link in the first days.
Step 3. The first days: reading and reactions
- subscribe to a few popular channels on different topics;
- read posts and react to them;
- join a couple of open chats and occasionally write something;
- chat with your other accounts — conversations between pool accounts look like normal communication.
The pace should be human: actions with pauses, breaks, no round-the-clock activity.
Step 4. Gradually increasing the load
Raise the load gradually. Start with occasional comments and messages, and do more after a few days. A sharp jump from "almost nothing" to "a hundred actions an hour" is a common cause of bans even for old accounts.
How to tell the account is ready
- no restrictions: @SpamBot reports the account is free;
- the account has been active for several days without FloodWait;
- the profile is filled in, with subscriptions and a chat history.
It also helps to know the account's age: older accounts usually withstand more. You can find the registration date by ID with our free tool.
If the account still gets restricted
- FloodWait — Telegram asks you to wait. Wait exactly as long as it says, then lower the pace.
- Spam block — the account can't message strangers. Take it off its tasks, appeal via @SpamBot and let it rest.
- Freeze — better to retire the account from work.
Warm-up in Braidix
Auto warm-up in Braidix does all of this for you: accounts read channels, react to posts and chat with each other in scenarios that resemble real conversation. Heat Score shows how "hot" an account is right now, and a 1–10 rating shows how resilient it is. AI protection keeps every account at a safe pace across all modules, and one account's tasks run in turn rather than simultaneously.
